Why? Because it's great to hear my podcasts and movies through my hearing aids. Hours! I spend hours trying to get it to work right. NOTHING works to pair the resound hearing aids to my iPhone XS. It's not enough that the hearing aid app should be opened in order for the pairing to occur, no! Now they don't even pair no matter which order of uninstall/reinstall software/turn off hearing aids/turn back on/add in hearing aid compatibility/Remove all other potential apps that might interfere (bose hearphones)/open software/close software. Nevermind the usual disconnecting and reconnecting of the batteries in order for the iPhone to recognize the Resound hearing aids and then ask to pair (again and again) with them. This app is not a “free game app.” Resound needs to fix the problems with this app! It’s the weekend, so I can’t call my audiologist to reset everything- if it would even be possible to get an appointment! More than likely, I’ll have to wait a week to get into the office!. For $7000 I think it’s not asking too much for the control app to work without this mess. The hearing aids by Resound are very good - but they are also VERY EXPENSIVE. Nope - still won’t leave “demo” - app won’t kick-in to work. The app worked fine (again, those occasional connectivity problems occurred, but basically it worked.) I deleted then reloaded the app. In late 2019, I required new hearing aids and after trying a pair by another company, I returned to Resound. I’ve used this app for over 4 years with only minor problems with connectivity until now. This problem is not because I am unfamiliar with the app. So, essentially my one-year-old, $7000 hearing aids, are no longer working with ease because the tech department/ developer of the app cannot get the bugs out. I can still control my aids directly though Settings>Accessibility on my iphone (so, yes, they ARE paired to the device and the OS is up-to-date) BUT the volume control is more limited via this route than it had been with the app. (I did NOT switch it to demo.) While frozen in Demo, it will not allow for actual use of the app - hence, the volume controls and ability to switch between programs is disabled. Starting yesterday, it switched into “Demo” mode and won’t exit Demo. Recently, the app looses the connection to my hearing aids SEVERAL times a day.
